Victorian stone cottage with stream-side garden and allocated off street parking, tucked away in a quiet corner of Hay-on-Wye, backing on to the Dulas Brook, but only 5 minutes’ walk to the shops, restaurants, pubs and all that Hay has to offer. Recently fully refurbished with everything you need for a relaxing stay and to explore the area. It has a cosy sitting room overlooking the garden with sofa and armchair, TV, fast Wi-fi, dining table and has the added benefit of a gas flame effect log burner for those chilly winter evenings. The modern fitted kitchen is fully equipped with integrated electric hob, oven & grill, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The bright modern bathroom has a large walk in shower and underfloor heating. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and the other a single bed, both bedrooms have plenty of storage space. The cottage has central heating throughout as well as constant hot water. Guests have exclusive use of the cottage during their stay. There is a dedicated off street parking space for up to two cars at the side of the cottage. The garden has a lockable outbuilding where bikes can be stored safely and heating to dry your wet outdoor gear. The garden backs onto the Dulas Brook and has two patio areas, one near the house with a large picnic table. The second looks over the Dulas Brook where if you are lucky you can watch Otters play, Kingfishers catching their lunch and Dunnocks nesting close by. If you are really lucky you may even see a hedgehog or two wandering along the river bank. We provide bed linen, towels and bathroom essentials including shampoo and hand soap. The Kitchen is well equipped and includes all the basics including tea towels, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and condiments. Directions to the cottage and key code will be provided to you before your stay. Minimum 5 night stay.
